Kentucky State University provides opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to study organic agriculture through its College of Agriculture, Food Science and Sustainable Systems.

As a small land grant university, KSU offers small class sizes, hands-on learning opportunities, and access to outstanding faculty, including members of KSU's Organic Agriculture Working Group.

Students can personalize their programs and projects to emphasize organic agriculture.

Program Synopsis
A broad agricultural curriculum built on a liberal arts foundation, with options to specialize in agriculture, food, environmental, or aquaculture systems.
MES logoTraining leaders to solve environmental problems by applying critical thinking skills across disciplines.
Organic agriculture component
Organic agriculture is discussed in most of the program's core agriculture requirements. Students can deepen their knowledge by taking an organic agriculture elective and choosing practicum assignments working on organic land.
Students can choose to pursue thesis or capstone research projects related to organic agriculture, mentored by members of KSU's Organic Agriculture Working Group. Course options include an elective in Sustainable Agriculture Systems that emphasizes organic agriculture.
